John Sebastian is fondly remembered by many as the founder of the popular ’60s group the Lovin’ Spoonful, for such tunes as “Do You Believe in Magic,” “You Didn’t Have to Be So Nice,” and “Daydream.” As a solo performer for the past forty years, he has been spreading the gospel of American roots music. Sebastian was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008.
